WinWatch – This Glass can Transform any Watch Model into a Payment Glass

WinWatch has succeeded in creating a glass that incorporates an NFC chip for contactless payment. This makes it possible to transform any model of watch into a connected watch. Even the most prestigious brands like Rolex or Breitling. 

When you’ve tasted contactless payment, it’s hard to go back. Especially when you can pay safely with … your watch, without even taking out your bank card. Thanks to NFC chips , connected watches effectively make it possible to pay in stores by placing the wrist near the terminal, and it is all the more practical in this period of the Covid-19 pandemic when it is necessary to avoid touching objects handled by the biggest number.

At Winwatch , we decided to innovate by placing the chip inside the glass itself! The name of this technology? STISS for  Swiss Technology Inside Smart Sapphire . This innovation has a huge advantage since it can transform any classic watch into a connected watch for contactless payment. All you have to do is change the glass … Winwatch makes its find available to any manufacturer, even the most prestigious such as Rolex or Breitling.

An application to activate contactless payment

But how does it work ? Winwatch uses a sapphire crystal for this, the most resistant after diamonds , which directly integrates a SECORA Pay chip , hidden behind a discreet notch. As for the antenna, it is located on the edge of the glass. The feat is to get around the Faraday cage effect  linked to the metal of the watch case. All without any food.

To show the example, the manufacturer has partnered with the Swiss military by chrono brand with nine models available, and after the purchase, it is necessary to activate contactless payment by installing the MuchBetter application  , partner of Winwatch .
