“Find” is one of the basic functions of Microsoft Word. The principle of its operation is simple and you do not need to explain it to anyone. The giant from Redmond, however, decided to significantly improve it, so we can use it even more effectively.
Microsoft Word with “Find” 2.0 – search for content, not words
By using the “Find” function in Microsoft Word , in the near future we will more often find what we are looking for. This will be because Microsoft is preparing some important news. First, the tool will detect typos and find the password in the text without them .
However, this is nothing, because phrases containing other forms of writing a given word will also be found (for example: searching for “USA”, we will also find “USA”), and even their synonyms. This is still not the end, because not only synonymous words, but even synonymous expressions will be taken into account (example? Enter “Price of Oil” and find “Oil Price” or “Cost of Oil”).
Thanks to these changes, we are to find fragments of interest in text documents, regardless of how the word was saved. After all, we will not be looking for words, but content. For this reason, the “Find” function in Word will have one more novelty, namely … answers to the questions asked.
Ask a question and Word will find the answer – a new feature is coming
In short: by using the “Find” function, we will be able to ask questions about the content of the document, and Word will find the answer itself by running artificial intelligence algorithms. We will ask, for example, when the hero of the text was born or how to do this or that, and after a while we will see a fragment in which we find the answer.
The feature will soon be available to Word users – unfortunately for at least some of it will only be available in English. Either way it is rather a solution that is worth waiting for. Do you agree?
