With the Ami, Citroën has introduced an electric two-seater with a top speed of 45 kilometers per hour. The car should cost 6,900 euros – but will also be offered as a car sharing vehicle at a price of 26 cents per minute .
With a top speed of 45 kilometers per hour and a range of just 70 kilometers, the Citroën Ami is clearly limited to use in inner cities. At the same time, the small size of the car ensures that it also fits into small parking spaces. The car is 2.41 meters long and 1.39 meters wide. The tropic of just over seven meters is also suitable for the city.
Due to the low top speed, the Citroën Ami can already be driven with an AM license. Accordingly, 16-year-olds can drive the car. According to the French manufacturer, the 5.5 kilowatt hour battery can be charged via a normal socket within three hours. However, this mainly affects buyers of the car, which is also intended to be a car sharing vehicle.

Citroën Ami: To buy for 6,900 euros – or for a short rent for 26 cents per minute
The Citroën Ami is based on the Ami One vehicle concept presented in 2019 . That was still designed as a pure car sharing vehicle. The plans for the production model are not that radical. The car will also be offered as part of the Free2move car sharing service at a price of 26 cents per minute, but there will also be classic purchase and leasing options.
In France, the Citroën Ami will cost 6,900 euros. After deducting the environmental bonus there, there are still 6,000 euros that two-seater fans have to spend on the vehicle. If you prefer leasing, you have to pay 19.99 euros per month. Our French neighbors can pre-order the Ami from March 30, 2020. The first vehicles are to be delivered there from June.
According to Citroën, customers from Germany should be able to order the car in the course of the year – but the carmaker does not provide more precise information. Citroën is still silent on prices outside France for the time being.
